Social Science Research Institute
The Social Science Research Institute (SSRI) at Penn State fosters research that addresses critical human and social problems at the local, national, and international levels. SSRI brings together researchers from different disciplines around emerging areas of study, and by providing consultation, financial support, shared, accessible infrastructure, and services to social scientists at Penn State.
Clinical and Translational Science Institute
Penn State’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) provides the tools, resources and training to help the Penn State community move its health research more efficiently out of science laboratories and into use by the people and communities who need it. Through its cores, the institute provides consultations, research tools, advanced biostatistical expertise, funding programs for exploration of unique ideas and a dedicated team for partnering with the community more effectively in research. In addition, the institute offers training to build the next generation of translational and clinical scientists and to develop an engaged workforce.
College of Health and Human Development
Dedicated to enriching human well-being and strengthening intellectual, social, physical, economic, and emotional wellness, Penn State’s College of Health and Human Development (HHD) gives students a solid foundation for positively impacting the way people live — both now and far into the future. HHD faculty and staff are proud to be recognized as some of the most respected leaders across the country and around the globe in our respective disciplines. HHD’s faculty — which includes fellows, presidents, and board/committee members of numerous national academies and organizations — is regularly honored for innovative excellence in teaching, advising, research, and actively engaging students.
